Hydrangea Cupcakes
To make kool aide frosting you will need:
2 cups of Crisco
8 cups of powdered sugar
1 pack of kool aid in your favorite flavor
3-5 tablespoons of water
Using a mixing stand mix 1 cup of Crisco. Add in 1 cup of powdered sugar and mix well. Next add in 2nd cup of sugar and mix. It is very important that you blend sugar 1 cup at a time or the frosting will not mix well and will not be the correct consistency. Add in the 3rd cup of sugar along with 1-2 tablespoons of water (depending on how thick the frosting is at this point). Add in the fourth cup of powdered sugar and mix well. Using a spatula stir the frosting and clean down the sides of the bowl. Add in half of the kool aid powder.
It is very important that you do not miss steps and add both cups of Crisco in the mixer at the same time or put in multiple cups of sugar in. Rushing through mixing the ingredients can alter the taste and consistency of the frosting.
Now add in the second cup of Crisco and blend in sugar one cup at a time again. When you get to the third cup make sure you add 2-3 tablespoons of water again. Finally mix in the other half of the kool aid powder.
This recipe uses Crisco which makes decorator's frosting. It is just perfect for piping out hydrangea flowers. If you have any questions on the steps please comment below.

Easy Muffin Tin Omelets
These easy go to muffin tin omelets are great protein snacks. You can have them on the go!
You will need:
6 eggs
2/3 cup bacon bits
3/4 cup frozen peppers and onions chopped
6 teaspoons of shredded cheese
Non stick cooking spray
pepper/garlic powder/salt
Spray muffin pan with non stick cooking spray. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In a bowl whisk eggs. Add in bacon bits and frozen peppers and onions. Season with pepper, garlic and salt to taste. Put cheese aside. Using a small ice-cream scooper drop egg mixture into each muffin tin slot. Bake for 10 minutes, then add 1/2 teaspoon of shredded cheese to each muffin tin slot. Bake another 5 minutes or until a fork or toothpick comes out clean. These protein bites are great for taking to work for snack or serving the kids after school. If you don't have a large crowd at home freeze them in twos and pull out for a snack as needed. They are also great for giving away as breakfast bites at work. Your co-workers will appreciate these, I know mine did!
